All categories on SimplySage are from a speech my colleague, Stephen Deal, gave at a Convocation Ceremony at a local high school. The principles were so good I borrowed them with his permission. He is also featured a few times as a guest author/photographer on this blog.

/ November 16, 2012Applying truth always increases joy. I recommend the speech that inspired my blog “Things We Want You to Remember.” It is in my blogroll. The speech is only 20 minutes but packed with the most sage advice for anyone. It will truly decrease sadness and increase joy. I’d love for you to watch and offer comments here.
Thanks for your follow, too, of my blog!

/ November 16, 2012I must say, I just finished watching the video. Amazing!! It was so uplifting and philosophical on a positive level. Very very good. I could apply it to my departure from College soon in five months. Mine will be finding my job and settling down on my own, and my parents already know the separation feeling, so will see how it all goes. God is good!!!

/ December 16, 2012Sage,
I tried finding an email address for you, but couldn’t. Just a big thank you for today’s discussion. A great deal of my humour, as you’ve noticed, is satirical, and in my clumsy English (adopted language). But by doing so, it brought me to you, and for that, I am grateful.

/ December 16, 2012Such kind words! Thank you. I’m glad for the discussion, too, and more glad for the tone we were able to achieve. Our hurting world needs more of it.
I do have an email address on my sidebar. alexandria@simplysage.org
I hope you find my place a corner of peace and joy in your day. Once again, though, I’m always up for a robust discussion. Feel free to pose any topic via email or my blog.
Your English is very good. What country are you from?

/ December 16, 2012Alexandria,
I’m from Canada… A French Montrealer. I do live and speak mostly in English, but will find it challenging at times when it comes to nuances of the language, such with the syntax, idioms and construction of a sentence…
