Yep, this is what I call “my ‘hood”. 🙂
Street Life in the Country

Photos taken with Nikon D60, various lenses, Sony Cybershot, Pentax, iPhone 4 and iPhone 5. Deer photos taken inside through a window–sheer luck 🙂
Hope you enjoyed the slideshow format for a change!
(Note: If you’re using the WordPress App Reader the slide show will not work. At least it didn’t for me. Try a regular web page. Good luck!)

  2. Give me this street life any day! Beautiful — loved the little fairy mushrooms. Is that what they were?

    • Me too on the street life. 🙂 I have no idea what kind of mushrooms those were. I saw them only once and never again since. But “fairy mushrooms” are a nice name, if that is correct. Thanks for the drop in and comments.

  3. This is one place I hope I will grow old one day. Country or coastal life, quiet, simple, where people know each as other as one community. Big city life seems fun when we are young and curious but no amount of modernism can match the gift of nature. Thanks.

    • I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Amy. Country life is wonderful, so beautiful, and so peaceful. But it’s not a simple life, by any means. However, the trade-off is so worth it. All the hard work that takes place around here, and then you sit back and just take all the beauty in. I grew up in the big city, then spent many of my adult years in a smaller country town, and now moved completely away from it all. (What’s happened to me??) I just grew to love what I call “space and solitude”. And that’s the way it is here. I never, ever tire of it. We have to drive a distance to everything but we consolidate the travel and find we have plenty around here to keep us happy—campfires, fields flooded with full moonlight, gorgeous uncluttered sunrises, quiet, quiet, quiet. This city girl has definitely turned country! 🙂 Thanks for your visit and comments.

      • It takes a lot of physical work living out in the country and it’s not so convenient,,, I’m so glad to hear that, as a city girl, you adjust to the country life so well. It reminds me the Chevy Chase “Funny Farm”. I loved that movie 🙂 🙂 Have you seen it?
